Storyshift is a Switch-Up Undertale AU originally created by VoltraTheLively/VoltraTheSparkling on Tumblr. However, I decided to become inspired by this idea and created my own Storyshift adaption. Disclaimer: I'm not part of the Storyshift team and mainly created this adaption for fun and self-discovery. My adaption of Storyshift isn't official by any terms. Make sure to check out the original one.
Despite Undertale being my main Special Interest right now, I never really felt indulged into the Storyshift AU, as due to the random switch ups, many things wouldn't make much sense. That was until autumn 2022, when I discovered that I was autistic. Somehow, I was able to connect the dots, so that the AU makes sense to me. However, this shouldn't be taken as an insult to the original creators.
Basically, Storyshift random switches up the roles of the Undertale characters, without altering their original personalities however. Down below, I will list the switched up roles.
Spoiler for Undertale at that point:
* Papyrus takes Toriel's role. (the Caretaker)
* Alphys' takes Napstablook's role. (the depressed ghost)
* Chara takes Sans' role. (the Judge)
* Asriel takes Papyrus' role. (the Ambitious)
* Toriel takes Undyne's role. (the Captain of the Royal Guard)
* Asgore takes Alphys' role. (the Scientist)
* Undyne takes Mettaton's role. (the Celebrity)
* Sans takes Asgore's role. (the King)
* Napstablook takes Asriel's role. (the Vengeful)
* Mettaton takes Chara's role. (the tragically Deceased)
I also added some additional lore to the story, however, as already claimed, none of the content of my work is canon at any point, nor did I write anything in a professional way. I was mainly doing this for self-expression and creativity.
In addition to the main story, I also wrote a Christmas Special during the Christmas season to keep myself occupied, to match-up the ongoing holiday spirit and to relief myself from masking. It's an adaption of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol".
Also, notify that english isn't my native language so my works might not be written perfectly.
